Logan High School provides driver education courses to high school students.
Logan High School offers a comprehensive driver education program that includes classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel lessons, and road skills testing. Our professional instructors guide students through every step of the licensing process.
1. Obtain Your Permit at the Utah Driver License Division (DLD) - DLD - Logan
Before beginning driver education classes, you must have a learner's permit. To obtain the permit, you must be at least 15 years old and pass the written test at the DLD.
2. Complete the Driver Ed Course
Register for the course package that matches your needs. The Behind-the-Wheel package is only for students who have already completed the coursework online.
3. Complete Your Behind-the-Wheel Lessons
Learn to drive with a state-certified instructor who is patient and experienced in teaching teens. Our program offers a variety of driving experiences in a safe, controlled environment.
Once registered, you can schedule your drive times online. The state also requires you to log 40 hours of practice driving-including 10 hours at night-with a parent or legal guardian. While no official log is required, your parent or guardian must sign an affidavit confirming the hours when you apply for your license.
4. Take the Road Skills Test
After you have completed all required driving hours, one of our instructors will administer your road skills test. You must score 20 points or fewer to pass; your score will be recorded in the DLD database. If you do not pass, you may schedule a retest with the DLD.
